Scenery

Rolling Ohio countryside with streams that follow the roads and lakes in the distance. Old houses in many of the towns. Great views from the hilltops. Overall this route has it all as far as motorcycling goes. If you want to cruise and enjoy the scenery, or if "hitting the curves" is your style of riding, this is the route for you. I've ridden this route at least 25 times. I just love it!
Road Quality

Great roads with lots of curves and hills. Not a route for a novice. All with the added bonus of there not being much traffic on many of the roads.
Roadside Amenities

This route takes you through some small towns and villages, like Zoar, Ohio. Gas is no problem. There are some small "mom and pop" type restaurants and of course fast food. These will be found in or close to the small towns along the way.

| Comment: I have taken that route many times and is a great ride. I also would like to say that rt. 9 to the biker memorial in Hopedale from Canton is a great ride as well. Going thru the Leesville lake regoin is a must see ride. | ||

| Comment: I grew up in Massillon not far from here, and I can contest that rt 800 is one of many great roads in eastern Ohio. One option would be to start on rt 800 from Canton South to avoid the freeway, that is if you do not mind driving through some small towns. | ||

| Comment: I had all but given up on Ohio for great twisties until I stumbled upon this site, SR800 is a GREAT ride... high speed and technical! It reminded me of some of the roads I've experienced on the west coast and of a little of Bear Mountian, NY. Beautiful weather, light traffic, minimal LEO, and plenty of gas stations. What more could you ask for? | ||
