Written Directions

Start in Warren, NH and take Rte 118 North till it ends and runs into Rte 112. Go East on Rte 112 which ends in Conway, NH.

Scenery

Scenery is breath-taking, Mt Washington and more. Wild life is plentiful, deer, moose, bears. You'll be traveling through the georgeous White Mountain National Forest and end up passing through some great scenic towns with pleanty to offer - Lincoln and Conway, NH.

Road Quality

Rte 118 is a great road for motorcycles, plenty of tight turns, up one side of a mountain and down the other. Light traffic. Turns, turns, and more turns ... Kancamagus is a must ride!!!.

Roadside Amenities

Mount Washington is north on Rte 16, well worth the trip, dress warmly at all times, it is always cold and windy up there.

Better fill-up when you can. Lincoln has gas, great selection of food as well as various events that you may be interested in planning your trip around. Also, while in Lincoln you should consider heading up north on Rte 3 to the Old Man of the mountains located in Franconia Notch State Park. At the other end is Conway with tons of shopping and dinning and hotels. While you are in Conway, you need to take one of their awesome Conway scenic railroad trips!!! They offer multiple destinations and multiple choices of rider durations so your bound to find something that will fit what you're looking for.

Comment: I went to college in NH 30+ years ago, and hiked most of the peaks in the White Mountains. Went back this summer for reunion and couldn't resist a day touring the Whites on my bike, which I'd ridden up from Baltimore. Riding the Kanc was certainly a highlight of that day. The only thing that makes me rate it a bit lower than the route and view would warrant is the misfortune of getting stuck behind cagers towing trailers. Pulled off at a couple of overlooks to get out from behind and saved the day. Pretty hard to go wrong on any of the routes up there, but certainly the Kanc is not to be missed. Enjoy.
