Written Directions
Interlaken Blvd is a charming, quiet, somewhat technical road in the heart of Seattle. Take it slow, especially the first time, as there are some surprise hairpins. Then, take a leisurely ride through the Arboretum at the beginning of Lake Washington Boulevard. This snakes and winds all the way over to the shore of Lake Washington, and down to the beautiful and verdant Seward Park.
Scenery
Beginning with a technical hill climb, then evening out with a gently curving cruise through a park and around a lakeside, is a terrific way to spend an afternoon.
Road Quality
The road quality varies greatly throughout. Interlaken Blvd has some pretty rough pavement, as do certain small sections of the Lake Washington drive. Mostly, however, it's smooth sailing.
Roadside Amenities
Particularly near Leschi park there are numerous restaurants to stop at.
