Written Directions

Start in Land O Lakes FL and head north on US 41/SR-45 and take a right on to Ehern Cutoff. Drive thru Ehern and when you run into SR-52 take a right (heading east). Stay on SR-52 all the way to Dade City. Now take a left and head north on SR-35/Treiman Blvd/US-301. Turn right on to Cortez Blvd/SR-50 in Richloam and head east for about 3 miles till you get to SR-471 where you want to take a right and head south for about 15 miles. Take a right on US-98/SR-35/SR-700 for about 1.5 miles then veer left on to Highway 54 for 7 miles. Turn left at Gall Blvd/US-301 and go for about 2.5 miles to the route's end in Plant City. .

Scenery

Great ride through winding and hilly terrain through some beautiful pasture lands that turns into the natural beauty of the state forest and the green swamp preserve.

Road Quality

The roads are all very well marked and easy to navigate. The route features long sweeping turns and good road speeds make for a great ride. The hills in San Antonio are great fun.

Roadside Amenities

Places all along 41 are easy to find for food and drink, Ukulele Bar and Grill is a favorite and Hungry Harry's BBQ is the best around. Once your on the trail the next stop for food is Zephyrhills or Plant city.

Comment: Now I am confused, I have lived in Florida since 1969, and I have always been told South Florida begins south of Vero Beach Florida. No wonder no one can find my house!

Comment: This ride may be ok, but it is NOT in South Florida. I is in NW Florida, approximately 400 miles away.

Comment: I live in S. Florida (Ft Lauderdale) and S. Fl begins South of West Palm Beach Fl on the east side and below Ft Myers on the west coast. Anything above this area is CENTRAL Fl. Don't Forget Fl is over 500 miles from top middle to Key West. The further South you the HEAVIER the traffic is. 50 over the speed limit will buy you a $1000.00 TICKET!! Drrive SAFE!!!!
